Every homeschooling family is different. I know some families totally stop all school during their breaks. But we usually do some sort of schoolwork all year, even during breaks. So we all filling our break with "schoolwork" like silent reading, piano practice, basketball practice, arts and crafts, and leisurely work on things like multiplication facts and science fair projects, etc.
